K-bop - Northbrook
K-bop
Description
Hidden in Chicagoland, this kimbap-focused eatery elevates Korean street food with crunchy pork cutlet rolls, savory bulgogi, and addictive K-bop bowls that feel worth every penny. The menu balances bold seasoning and high-quality meats, plus no-meat options, in a clean, warm space with ample seating and extended hours for quick lunches or late bites. Service is friendly and efficient, though occasional wait times and a tendency to pre-sauce orders — plus shared parking and slight indoor smoke — are minor drawbacks.

What a lovely place! The prices are reasonable, and the food is delicious. I can't believe I didn't discover it sooner!
This restaurant specializes in Korean Kimbap, which should not be confused with Japanese Maki rolls. They offer a variety of street foods that I remember enjoying. The food is excellent, but one minor drawback is the wait time for the food to be served, especially considering it is categorized as "fast food."
I requested that the sauce be served on the side, but they still added it directly to the food. I have a sensitive stomach, and too much sauce makes me feel unwell. Additionally, the sauce isn't very healthy.
Cozy Korean mom and pop feel restaurant. Great food, affordable price, good portions, and great service. Recommended.
