What Raymond Gulgowski doesn't like about The Bonsai Restaurant & Cafe Lounge:
Wasn't impressed with the sashimi on avocado wedges. Avo wedges were carpaccio style, you could hardly call those wedges. Average Bonsai seaweed salad. We waited more than an hour before the food arrived, not in sync. Really enjoyed the interior design of the restaurant. The restaurant is well located near China town and the state theatre. We came here for dinner as recommended via zomato. We were tourists to Perth city and walked there after work. A quick walk and easy to find. Nice ambience and attentive service. Each dish was delicate and packed with flavour. Fresh oysters and salmon nigiri was my fav along with the creme brulee. read moreThis Japanese restaurant near China town and the state theatre offers a mix of experiences, according to various reviews. Some patrons have found the sashimi and salad to be average, while others have praised the degustation menu, fried dishes, and cocktails. The wait time for food was a downside for some, but others appreciated the attentive staff and cozy atmosphere. The prices were mentioned as high by one reviewer, but the majority seem to enjoy the food and service, with some even returning for multiple visits. Overall, it seems to have a loyal customer base and is considered a hidden gem by many. If you're in the mood for Japanese cuisine in Northbridge, this might be worth a try.
