A recent review of the restaurant located next to a Premier Inn on Bedford Road in Northampton was overwhelmingly negative, with complaints about the quality of the food and unhelpful staff. However, another review of the Lakeside restaurant mentioned a positive change in management, resulting in improved service and delicious food. One customer had a great experience at the restaurant and commended the outstanding service provided by Caryn and Sue, expressing their intention to recommend the restaurant to others. We visited the restaurant on Saturday, August 12th. The service was quite slow, but the two ladies working at the bar during that shift were fantastic! The young boy who was running food also did an excellent job. I spoke with one of the ladies at the bar and she mentioned that...
Had Sunday lunch here with 4 friends. When we arrived, we didn 't know 4 members of staff had called in sick They are all so professional. I went to the bar to order my drink, a large chardonnay. I was asked if white was ok? Errr it is white was my reply, the young man explained, it was only his 4th shift, and didn 't know much about wine. When our starters came out one of our party knocked her full drink all over the table, dispite being short staffed, the girls soon ceaned it up and the manager replaced her drink FOC. We chatted to the manager after our meal, and she told us the barman was called TJ and it was his day off, but he had come in for breakfast! What a great guy, He will be a true asset to a great team.
