What thadd36 doesn't like about Heathers:
Strange setup, very small and with a strange collection of things around the place. I felt the place was shabby and I had a general feeling that hygiene might not have been a top priority. Food wasn't cooked very well, limp bacon and underdone egg (still jelly white), overall not a great experience, I did not like the place it's literally a 2 minute walk from my front door but will not be going back. I grew up in Northampton and often come back to visit my sister who lives in the Mounts area. With her house being so near to the town centre we usually wander that way for coffee and end up in one of the major chain cafes out of habit but as today was beautifully sunny we trotted out in a different direction and happened upon this brilliant little cafe. Everything was very reasonably priced (the cakes were so yummy we almost went back for seconds at the price! the coffee was excellent and the lady who served us was lovely too. We sat out at the kerbisde table and watched the world go by. We're already planning our next trip to try out the afternoon tea...
The coffee here is fantastic and there is always a great variety of food to choose from. The service is very friendly as well. I am a regular customer here for hot drinks.
This place is known as a community cafe and I found the staff and other customers to be very friendly. There was a lot of friendly chatter among the regulars, creating a relaxed atmosphere. They offer their own gluten-free cakes, which is great for someone with Coeliac disease. Overall, a pleasant experience and I would definitely return now that we have figured out the somewhat confusing bathroom door situation!
Nice place very clean n staff were friendly Food was lovely Only reason ime giving a 4 star and not a five is simply because i think if ime paying 7.99 for a breakfast it would be nice to have a tea or coffee included like most other places do instead of having to pay extra These are the little things that get people back. Just my opinion tho. Other than that Top notch
Fantastic food, great coffee and a family atmosphere make this the best cafe in Northampton. Recommend to anyone in the area, worth going out of your way for. Fresh baked cakes are always available and great treat for the kids. Great couple who run the place make everyone feel welcome. Top experience.
