With her house being so near to the town centre we usually wander... read more I grew up in Northampton and often come back to visit my sister who lives in the Mounts area. With her house being so near to the town centre we usually wander that way for coffee and end up in one of the major chain cafes out of habit but as today was beautifully sunny we trotted out in a different direction and happened upon this brilliant little cafe. Everything was very reasonably priced (the cakes were so yummy we almost went back for seconds at the price! the coffee was excellent and the lady who served us was lovely too. We sat out at the kerbisde table and watched the world go by. We're already planning our next trip to try out the afternoon tea...

There was a lot of friendly chatter among the regulars, creating a relaxed atmosphere. They offer their own gluten-free cakes, which is great for someone with Coeliac disease. Overall, a pleasant experience and I would definitely return now that we have figured out the somewhat confusing bathroom door situation!
