This is an excellent restaurant in a strange hotel setting. Having walked through reception and past the bedrooms we were plesently surprised. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit. The service was faultless and the food exceeded our expectations. Excellent menu. Excellent value. You won't be disappointed View all feedback.

Booked through OpenTable for the 10th of February for 8 people this was for my Dad's birthday. Before the date we had a change in numbers and instead of adjusting through OpenTable I decided to call the restaurant directly. Having explained the problem, the restaurant responded that we never had a booking to begin with. The service and cooperation with dealing with this issue was very poor, no resolution was provided and no apology was given for this issue. Had I had turned up with 7 people to a dinner reservation that hadn't been booked, it would have been a disaster. The restaurant said they would call me back regarding the issue and no call was made to myself and even when I tried to call back the call was not answered.
Lovely bar and great potential. However lack of bar staff waiting over 15 minutes to order a drink this was prior to our restaurant sitting 7:30. The restaurant has no ambience at all, the food is absolutely tiny and I ordered a takeaway when I got home. The quality is ok, but the pricing is crazy. Paid £98 for two courses and two drinks. My partner wanted a cocktail, asked for menu and they didn’t have one. The waiter reeled off a small list and they explained they were available in a pitcher only who orders pitchers when going out for a romantic meal? It was very apparent the waiting staff lacked experience also, and there seemed to be nobody providing guidance experience to help them. I eat at a lot of good high quality restaurants both cheap and expensive and I don’t mind paying for quality but I do mind paying when the quality is poor and the price is massively overly inflated. Sadly, we will never return great potential. Address the restaurant look ambience, poorly trained waiting staff, price, cocktail drinks menu and you will do well im sure! We were offered 20% off the bill based upon a complaint to the waitress, which was a nice gesture. That price was more suitable but I still consider it expensive.
We stayed in the Lea Marsden Hotel. As we were staying with our one year old I intended to book the other bar as thought it would be more child friendly, however realized I booked this restaurant so went there instead, and so glad we did, luckily our one year old was on his best behavior but I couldn't believe how child friendly they were. Also the food was delicious.
Food was very nice but service was very slow. We had a three course meal and was lovely, no problems with the food and good value for money.
