Very nice and comfortably seating, great ambience. Reasonable price and really good food. Can tell the effort that they put in the food. Attentive happy staff. Can’t wait to go back. View all feedback.
We made a table booking in In Asia, but when we arrived at the restaurant, there was 89 Thai, so there was a little confusion among our friends. Perhaps the staff should be instructed to provide correct information. But what was really important was that the food was absolutely delicious. For duck we had the coconut palms and fish cakes. For the net pad Thai shrimp, jungle beef curry, soft bowl crab and coconut and lime shrimp plus jasmine rice. All dishes were presented very well and delicious flavors. The desserts, though we're not great. The Tiramisu and the fried ice cream were terrible. I guess they're really not equipped for desserts. The service was excellent with friendly and friendly staff. Will definitely return!
Now know as Malong Thai Restaurant after rebranding and deciding to focus on Thai food this restaurant is large with an emphasis on great tasing fresh thai foood and good service. Although just dining as a couple this restaurant had many groups and would be perfect for bdays or group get togethers. What is impressive is the fast friendly service, quality of fresh food that is well portioned all housed in a fresh modern space that is large and inviting. Even if eating as a couple or a few friends no need to be scared off as they have created great spaces to accommodate smaller groups. I also love the cocktail list and area created around the bar. Nice to see a modern take on the Thai food scene here in the north strathfield concord area. Food reasonably priced too Spring rolls $7.90, massaman beef $22.90 and then corkage $2.50 pp as a guide Massaman beef beautiful and tender and lovely thick sauce, but the spring rolls were bland, crispy but no flavour (even with the mild dipping sauce) The only 'negative ' was that the price on the menu for the beef was different to the price charged at the counter; this may just be a glitch with the system minor and didnt detract from the evening again. Would I go back definitely! I usually eat at Thai Riffic or Chilli Jam but they have been more miss than a hit in the service department of late so Malong may just have one over a new customer!
In Asia is not your typical Asian restaurant. It is modern, different and fresh, all the meals have twist. There is a variety of different Asian cuisine. Presented well and tasted great. The decor is modern and clean.
Went here for a Thursday night office dinner. Nice interior, quite bright but welcoming. We had an early 6.30 booking so the place was quiet and therefore the service very attentive. It had filled up to around 50% capacity by the time we left. Had a variety of dishes to share with the standouts being the Massaman Curry and a serve of pan fried barramundi. The restaurant tries to cover a variety of Asian cuisines and manages to pull it off quite well. There were seven of us and every one said that they would return Score given with regard to this being a suburban eatery that doesn't try too hard and does what it does well
The foods was fantastic. We had a set. It was full of surprises. It was unique way to have asian food. Love it. The place and the service were good as well
