Red's Alehouse - North Liberty

Update We returned and had a positive experience this time. Server was attentive and food/drinks were wonderful. I would definitely recommend this place, now know that the service and quality of food/drinks we get for the first time is not the “standard”. The atmosphere is beautiful. The service was good. We had to ask for our water several times and had long waited for our food (with a young child) although it was quite dead. The cheese curds, hamburgers and fries were wonderful. The chicken pliers were very fat and we couldn't eat most of them, as the bread and the chicken were healthy. I also ordered a mixed drink that was so strong that I couldn't even drink it. A decent place for a meal, but in any case some things they need to work on for the price you pay.

I enjoyed the Reds Alehouse experience several times. The staff is always attentive and very knowledgeable. So of course I'll return, but last night was a very special occasion. Our server Lauren (we sat on the terrace) was nothing less amazing! She was so attentive, helpful, patient and very respectful of our evening. I appreciate this kind of service and I really wanted to acknowledge it. Thanks again Lauren and the staff at Red's!

This was our first trip to Red 's. My daughter called to get our name on the list for a party of 8, with outdoor sitting. We arrived in approximately an hour were seated right away. Other than it taking a bit to get our first round of drinks, the wait staff was great. The appetizers (I highly recommend the crazy goat main entrees were delicious.

AMAZING! We stopped here to eat today with our great friend and visit him and he recommended this place. Wow, I can't say enough great things about it. Friendly service and don't wait long.. The food was great! I ordered the fish and chips and my word! Delicious! The red cabbage Slave and the tarter sauce were so good! Everyone enjoyed all his food and this is a safe place that we will also come back! A

I was there twice. The first time I went because I heard they had a vegan black bean burger (which is a rarity in this area). I will admit that when I first came in and saw how busy they were, I was skeptical what kind of service and food it would offer. But I was wrong, everything about the experience was excellent! The service, food, portions, etc. I have thought that this place knows that only because you are vegetarian/vegan does not mean that you do not want EAT! So, of course, I had to try again. It was just as good if not better than the first time. It was as busy as the second time, but the service was just as good. There is a reason why a place like this remains busy.
