Venison pie was quite excellent, if pricey. Decor needs to be pretty badly updated though. The bar in the hotel is very comfortable in winter. Definitely been to much worse places. View all feedback.
I had breakfast at this restaurant, and it was quite substantial. The food was delicious, the service was quick, and the prices were reasonable.
I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! My stay in the hotel that features the restaurant lasted for two nights, and we enjoyed dining here both evenings. On the first night, I ordered the linguini, which was incredibly flavorful and light. However, the highlight was definitely the second night when I had a medium-rare steak with mushroom sauce and shoestring fries. The portion was just right, and the steak was tender and perfectly cooked—definitely not tough at all. The standout for me was the mushroom sauce; it was simply incredible. I've tried a variety of mushroom sauces (mushrooms are one of my favorites), and this one ranks as my all-time favorite. It's going to be hard to find anything that compares! I give it a perfect 10/10 and will definitely return next time!
The venison pie was excellent, though a bit expensive. However, the decor really needs an update. On a positive note, the hotel bar is very cozy during the winter months. Overall, I've been to much worse places.
Great place to stay
