Experience at the restaurant was mixed, with some staff being friendly while others were indifferent. Food was consistently delicious and well-prepared, although some found it to be overpriced. Cleanliness and service were highlighted as positives by many patrons. The nostalgic and family-friendly ambiance was a welcomed change from typical fast food restaurants. Despite a few negative incidents with staff behavior and pricing, overall, it was considered a good spot for dining. Special mention was made of the excellent burgers and attentive service. The Wimpy restaurant provided a charming atmosphere and delightful dining experience for many visitors.

Excellent food. Good price. Well worth a visit. Friendly staff. So if your in Barnstaple pop on.
Went in for quick cuppa with friends. Restaurant and facilities great but tea disgusting weak and cold,staff grumpy and very unwelcoming.
Visited Wimpy,after years of not having one.. So travelled to Barnstaple just to have one.. A lovely clean, friendly, attentive restaurant. Everything came out quickly, and was hot. Really enjoyed our experience. Looking forward to visiting again.
I have never been to a Wimpy before as there are none in my local area. However, after finding out there was a Wimpy in Barnstaple (where I'd be changing trains on a trip to Devon I decided it was time to try a Bendy Cheese. On entering the restaurant, we were shown to a table on arrival and greeted by the restaurant manager, Hannah (who has been working for Wimpy since 1989! . On request, Hannah told us about the history of Wimpy and the Bendy Cheese (previously the Big Bender . Hannah was incredible and made my first Wimpy experience the best it could be. I was even given a sample of Wimpy's special sauce! The shakes and the food were incredible. Just a shame there's no merch in store! Thankyou Hannah for a great experience!
