great food and excellent service! we had no wimpy for probably 15 years, so we drove the 50 miles of exeter for a tasty bite. all staff are very friendly and sam made us very welcome. we had the classic helped pounder and mega burger with chips accompanied by banana milkshakes. all eating was delicious and would definitely recommend giving them an attempt. I just wish there was a two-way on the outside. View all feedback.

Visited Wimpy,after years of not having one.. So travelled to Barnstaple just to have one.. A lovely clean, friendly, attentive restaurant. Everything came out quickly, and was hot. Really enjoyed our experience. Looking forward to visiting again.
I have never been to a Wimpy before as there are none in my local area. However, after finding out there was a Wimpy in Barnstaple (where I'd be changing trains on a trip to Devon I decided it was time to try a Bendy Cheese. On entering the restaurant, we were shown to a table on arrival and greeted by the restaurant manager, Hannah (who has been working for Wimpy since 1989! . On request, Hannah told us about the history of Wimpy and the Bendy Cheese (previously the Big Bender . Hannah was incredible and made my first Wimpy experience the best it could be. I was even given a sample of Wimpy's special sauce! The shakes and the food were incredible. Just a shame there's no merch in store! Thankyou Hannah for a great experience!
Disappointing,poorly cooked and expensive.shame as we were really looking forward to returning as previously good.waitress was pleasant and service considering it was busy.
Excellent lunch. Took my little girl and we both loved it. Jelly and ice cream with real oranges in the jelly. Very clean and tidy. The staff were lovely. All well mannered with fantastic service. Puts alot of restaurants to shame. Well done wimpy team.
My wife and I enjoyed dining at this restaurant during a recent lunch outing. We were impressed by its cleanliness and the inviting atmosphere it offered. The staff, both friendly and attentive, contributed to our positive experience. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals, and the chocolate milkshake was exquisite. Considering our delightful experience, we are already contemplating another visit soon.

Went in for quick cuppa with friends. Restaurant and facilities great but tea disgusting weak and cold,staff grumpy and very unwelcoming.

The customer service, the setting of the staff, the atmosphere and the eating were all I hoped in this nostalgia trip, for many years not to have been in wimpy. everything was first class, and we are now likely to make a day trip again. well done to the manager and her staff to keep the essence of what it was always. Thank you for coming here.
Haven't seen a wimpy in donkeys years, was exactly as I remember it. Food was good service was good, always has been a bit pricey but was a real nostalgia trip
Absolutely outstanding service! The staff were fantastic throughout our visit and a special mention to Hannah as she was sat eating her lunch but spoken to me and my family about Barnstable and the recommended beaches to visit! We travelled from The West Midlands for the weekend and stopped off for some food which was absolutely amazing! The staff were all so accommodating the food was absolutely fantastic.. I wish we had one of these restaurants by us! My daughter who has just turned one was also treated amazing whilst we stayed! We walked away with a massive smile on our faces and when we do make another visit to Devon for the weekend we will be 100% coming back. 5 stars isn’t enough .. if I could give you 10 I honestly would.
