We have been frequent visitors to this restaurant and have always enjoyed the food, but our last visit was very disappointing. We ordered the Beef Vindaloo, which we were warned would be hot (a warning we didn't find necessary). Unfortunately, the dish was extremely dry, making the rice and curry almost inedible. There was no heat or spice at all. We questioned if there has been a change in chefs. Additionally, the ice-cream was not fresh and tasted like it had been thawed and refrozen multiple times. This meal was supposed to be a special Christmas outing with our family.
Wow six of us just returned from a lovely two night stay at the Mitre Andy his lovely wife and all the staff are amazing nothing is too much trouble the ales the food is really good we have stayed before and will definitely be back thanks Andy and all for a brill time .
