We visited on a saturday night.. The food took some time, however the staff were constantly apologising for the delay, and were told initially it was going to take a little time.. The food was good, and good value.Live music on the evening of our visit, which was an added bonus. View all feedback.

It's such a shame to read the last review, particularly so because I was there the same night as the person who wrote her review and I was sat at a table near to her so saw and heard what happened. It's fair to say that the staff dealt with the situation in a professional way and were not rude. Spent 2 nights ,spotless comfortable room ,great shower and the staff were lovely and friendly. Will definitely stay again, great friendly bar
Your response to a comment of disappointment at the pub being closed is a little harsh, and personal . The review was good and accurate as you are closed on a Monday and you do advertise the pub in your facilities. Unpleasant and uncalled for, and somewhat unprofessional .
I stopped by to inquire about when they would begin serving food. Unfortunately, they won't be starting until Spring 2024 as the renovation has taken longer than expected. However, I enjoyed a pint of Carlsberg for a reasonable price of £4.20. The establishment appeared clean and had a cozy vibe, with plenty of bar stools - my preferred type of pub. It has the potential to become a popular spot among locals.
Beautiful grade II listed building with cozy seating. The friendly bar staff make you feel right at home, welcoming both humans and dogs. Wide selection of beers, wines, and spirits available. An ideal spot to relax and enjoy watching the world pass by.
Great service, staff really friendly and welcoming (kids and dogs in tow). We'll definitely be back!
