We called into these tea rooms for coffee and cake during a visit to Adlington Court. Good coffee, lovely cake (coffee and walnut) and pleasant, helpful staff. Good choice of indoor and outside seating we chose to sit outside where there were plenty of wild birds in the nearby trees. Lovely place. View all feedback.
What Gundamuck doesn't like about Old Kitchen Tea Room:
We had a lovely visit then tried to buy lunch lucky the day was dry as we had to eat outdoors but the food was good if a little pricey and overall i think they try to provide a median menu with no surprises View all feedback.
After exploring the area and before visiting the carriage museum, we decided to have lunch at this restaurant. The food, while simple, looked appealing and was priced similarly to other National Trust restaurants. The carrot and coriander soup was disappointingly bland, with many diners adding extra salt. However, the cheese and ham panini was delicious and made up for the lackluster starter.
You have the choice of indoor or outdoor seating. The range of food on offer is good, and quality is very good. You may have to wait a while for the food to be brought at busy times, but it's worth the wait. The chaffinches will keep you entertained.
We had a good cup of coffee here, and cake (gluten free for me). It is pleasant sat outside here watching the robins and chaffinches hopping about.
Hot brie panini and a pot of tea very welcome on a chilly day. Plenty of choice and friendly service.
The usual NT Cafe, with the usual foods and cakes, probably home made.
