My wife and myself visited Barnstaple for a short break and the hotel owner reccomended Claytons and The Glasshouse. We weren't disappointed, the food, the service and the atmosphere were fantastic. My experience at the recently renovated Clayton's was fantastic. We enjoyed a quick drink along with olives, homemade hummus, and warm delicious bread. The waitresses were extremely attentive and even gave us a complimentary glass of Prosecco for my friend's birthday. Clayton's used to be my local wine bar, but it had lost its charm over the years. However, it seems like they have won me and my friends back with their impressive service. We will definitely be returning soon.
Thank you so much for a fantastic meal and excellent service on my final night in Devon before heading home. The gin was also delicious, I just wish it was served that way everywhere.
