What User likes about Yamato:
my family loves yamato. I've been here for over a decade for everyone. it is quite expensive for the amount of food they get, I eat 3 times on my meal alone. the chefs and the management are so beautiful and funny. they always have something extra for my children on the entertainment page. we enjoy it so much here. What User doesn't like about Yamato:
this is their typical Hibachi-Tarif, but with really funny decorations. we visited several times, but don't go back. at our last visit, they have accused us of additional $5 per meal for roast rice, although they had already told us that it came with the meal. When I pointed out that we were told that fried rice was included, I was told that our server was new, so it made a mistake, but we would still be charged. View all feedback.
We did not enjoy this place. I was going to get steak and shrimp until I got a wiff of it from across the room. I about threwup from the foul smell of the shrimp. I just got steak, ate and ran. Not going back. They service wasn't good and there atmosphere was ok.
Every time I come to this restaurant I'm always disappointed but today it was even more disappointing. Food was burned he even threw away half the vegetables away cause he burned it and gave us the scraps that was left. The chef that we had didn't even talk or try to entertain us in the slightest and we got barely any food at the end. If I could, I would give them 0 stars because that's what they deserve. Their service from the last few years has gone down tremendously it's no surprise they have 2 stars. If you're planning a birthday dinner here. Don't!. Save your money and save your time.
Me and my friend went here for a nice time, we called and they said last seating time was 8:30 and we arrived around 8:15. The server was very rude, had a look on her face like she hated our guts for coming in, and was very short and did not speak much. The hibachi chef also did not do any cool fire tricks besides one big single flame. I was upset because we told them it was my first time and they didn't even do an onion volcano or anything. We barely ate our food and then we were rushed out by our server who asked us if we were ready to cash out 3 times back to back even though we still had a lot of our cocktails left. We were the only ones there because it was very slow but we just wanted to have a nice time together. Very poor service and the seafood also made me sick later. Would not recommend this location to friends or family.
At first glance, it's really easy to simply drive past this little (from outside appearance) restaurant right off the service road. It doesn't look like it could pack a punch such as the one my wife and I were dished out on my birthday weekend. I've never been to a hibachi joint, so naturally after my wife suggested, it was a no brainer. When we walked through the doors we were met with a massive cultural ambiance like one we've never seen. Japanese statues, art and design filled this place. It maintains a very great vibe, and allows you to feel as though you're wanted. From the hostess greeting us upon entering, to the way the tables allow you to enjoy your meal in a way that's not customary in the States. You sit with people you don't know, but that's what makes it fun. Our waitress addressed us and took our order shortly after being seated. Drinks came out within 5 minutes, appetizers took about 10. The calamari was crisp and delicious. I didn't want to wash the beautiful taste out of my mouth, but my ice cold Sapporo was calling. When the hibachi chef came to our table he was full of energy and fun. He not once let a moment go by without some sort of entertainment. He kept everyone at our table engaged, addressed us all, and made the whole experience that much better. We were all served a healthy portion of the best fried rice I've ever been blessed to taste, our steaks came out perfectly med-rare, the shrimp was insatiable and the lobster? Oh my. Words can't begin to truly express how awesome this place is, and for the money I believe was well worth its weight in gold. Thank you Yamato!
We waited an hour and a half to get our food, after waiting 30-45 for drinks. They were severely understaffed. Restaurant was dirty. They were out of several menu items. No GF options. Staff did their best but it was a really awful experience.
