Place was clean, the dining... read more All the hype all these years and it was worth it!! So fun and good!! Service Staff was very friendly and helpful to us first timers. Place was clean, the dining room spotless and the restrooms were stocked and clean too! Menu was big yet simple. Somany choices. Unfortunately on our visit the shake machine wasn't working and we heard how amazing the shakes were. Our groupgot the double cheese burger, the Italian meat sandwich, Chicago dog, chocolate cake, strawberry shortcake and drinks. GET THECHEESE SAUCE! Fed a group of 10 for $115 and we did not order light. Prices were good. Lots and lots of seating in otherrooms.

They were literally making fresh Strawberry Shortcake while I was ordering. The bread is so fresh. I had 2 cheese dogs (I'm not supposedto tell anyone I added ketchup apparently people from Chicago will get upset if they know you put ketchup on Hot Dogs???? Theemployees there are all extremely helpful. Stop here if you are in Normal just like I am for the week ????.

The decor is that from the roaring 20s and 30s period in Chicago and there are many sign, pictures and decor depicting that area, including a vintage, classic car hanging fromthe ceiling. The food is very good, the Chicago style hot dogs and chocolate cake are favorites!

I felt like we just missed the rush. Was there at 6:30pm, they were cleaning up tables and over flowing trash. We had a table to sit at. When called to get food, a drink was missing. But was quickly corrected with a smile. The food wasgood as always.
