Kochi Sushi
Description
Hidden behind an unassuming exterior, this family-run sushi spot offers top-tier, freshly made rolls and a soft, clean atmosphere that locals praise. Signature items (Volcano, blackjack, Philadelphia roll, tempura, sashimi) shine, and parking and kid-friendly seating are plentiful. Service and portions are inconsistent — great and attentive at times, slow or brusque at others — and some guests report extra charges on to-go orders and modest teriyaki entrées. Expect excellent sushi if you’re patient; value and experience can vary.

We stopped by on our way to Chicago, but unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. Our waitress was inattentive, and the sushi we ordered was mediocre, with dry rice. On a positive note, the shrimp fried rice and crab Rangoon were decent. However, the waitress was quite rude, repeatedly asking us, "Aren't you going to get the buffet?" to the three of us who chose to order from the menu instead. When we requested the check, she replied, "Did you ask for the check?" This didn't seem to be a language barrier, and overall, it was a frustrating experience.
Awful! Freaking awful! They charged me $10 extra dollars AFTER already giving me my bill. The service was poor and rude. Teenage girls that threw the bill at my table and very impolite. They counted how much sushi I was taking home without an explanation as to why. Over priced for portion size. Why add an extra charge to take home food if it is suppose to be all you can eat? Literally the worst people and the worst way to go about a business. I will never, ever eat there again!! They don’t even deserve one star in my opinion.
The all-you-can-eat sushi is pretty amazing. You can get soup, salad, appetizer, sushi, maki rolls, special rolls, hot Hibachi or Teriyaki dishes as well as dessert. The food and service is great! They do have an upcharge for a few things like the Tuna Tataki and Sashimi but it is worth it. Go hungry because you will be so full of sushi! Love the crab rangoons and specialty rolls. There is a great selection.
Great food. Made fresh. Family owned. Service can be a little slow if busy but they are very friendly. But it's ok. Clean and a nice environment. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
The best sushi in town! Yes, they're a bit pricey, but to eat all you want and leave fully satisfied in a place like Bloomington is amazing. Highly recommend! Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Vegetarian options: Though limited, there are plenty of vegetarian options to leave satisfied.
