Went to the D'Cuban Cafe in Norcross around 1:30 pm today. The place wasn't overcrowded; 4 other customers were eating there. Other reviews say it can be pretty busy lunch time. The food tastes fresh, it's made fresh to order and the bowl was filled to the top. I don't know what Cuban food is supposed to taste like, but this food was flavorful. The salsa served with it is pretty spicy. I got the Veggie Bowl for $8.95 with sauteed bell peppers and onions, theirhomemade mojo sauce. Served with white rice, black beans and sweet plantains. Personal taste: I'm not a fan of the plantains in the dish, I like the sweet potatoes Flower Child serves better. But if you like plantains, you'll probablyenjoy those. I think I also would have liked the whole dish a bit better if I had added the avocado slices too since there's no meat in the dish. It would also be nice if there was a plant based meat option (or even tofu) for the veggiebowl. Colorful decor with mismatched chairs and antiques.
