San Bernardo - NOCI

The restaurant is in one of the very attractive back streets of Noci and everyone was out for their passeggiata which gave the place a great atmosphere as people are walking past and stopping to chat. We hadn’t booked but we were quickly found a table and the service was very good throughout our meal. We had a pizza and main salad and both were delicious and the salad ingredients all tasted very fresh. We would highly recommend and note they do gluten free options too. We will definitely be back.

I have eaten here on a number of occasions, from when it was a small restaurant to when they expanded it, and the pizza has always been consistently excellent. Francesco (the owner and pizza chef) clearly loves what he does and this is evident in the excellent ingredients he uses. The toppings are always very generous and the tomato base is fresh. I highly recommend a visit if you’re in the area, but it’s advisable to book as it gets packed, especially over the summer and weekends.

The pizza is wonderful, dry--not soggy--on the bottom, and moist and fresh and varied on top. Smaller pizzas for those who want to be careful of portions but I have to say the regular size was perfect. Yes, I did say octopus, polpo in Italian. Served fried with different sauces and grilled with fava beans, and a beautiful delicious salad. For me the grilled won the test and next time I'm in the area I will have them again. Noci is a lovely town to walk around, seeing the centro storico and browsing. San Bernardo is right in the center, bright and cheerful with an old architecture on the inside that is very charming. The service is perfect, the owner knowing enough English to help you out. High recommendations.

Amazing choice of pizzas on offer here they even have a variety of choices of base. The staff are very friendly and patient with customers like me (with very limited Italian).
