L&l Hawaiian Barbecue - Feedback

What James Calhoun doesn't like about L&l Hawaiian Barbecue:
The pork cutlet is actually strips of pork, ie tonkatsu. There was more breading than meat, the meat slices were about 1mm thick, dry and was like eating beef jerky. This is the second time now that I've had a similar experience but previously it was with the chicken katsu, same result, more breading than meat, and it was like eating dried chicken. Somehow we always end up eating here. It’s truly a hole in the wall spot but the workers are friendly and the food is yummy. A classic l&l experience. Not completely convinced of the cleanliness of the place but maybe it’s just old and run down/ out of date. I love how tender the bbq chicken is and the crunch on the katsu is delicious.
