Kaimuki Superette - Niu

Incredible as can be is the Hapa Fried rice omelette. I happened to be in the neighborhood at the time, so I decided to check it out. Both the wait staff and the chefs were very kind, and the food was delicious. In addition to that, I got a cold brew, which was also delicious. I will definitely go back to sample more of the items on their menu.

I stopped here on my lunch break with a friend not to long ago. After ordering our food, we sat down and waited for our names to be called. My friend noticed something on the floor and when we looked closer, we saw multiple maggots wiggling around and going in every direction. My friend told the worker behind the counter to raise awareness to the bugs presence and instead of the employee taking action to rid the bugs, the employee handed my friend a napkin to kill the maggots with her hands. Definitely, not a clean and fun vibe. Unfortunately, we had already paid prior to finding the maggots so when our food was ready, we obviously felt weird about food being prepared in such a maggot friendly environment and threw the food away. We left, feeling very uncomfortable and called to request refunds for our food. We were told only the owner was able to process refunds but not to worry because they will take down our information and we will surely get out refunds shortly. This never happened. We never heard back or got refunded our money. all around horrible experience, don’t go.

G r a t e f u lSpent the late morning here writing and drinking their awesome coffee. Had the Donburrito which was insane! It was served with awesome homemade salsa.Ana was a super kind helper, can’t wait to come back.

Deliciously fresh food, cute place, and staff was friendly and helpful!

Fried rice was different but ono! poached eggs cooked perfect and complimentary cookie was ono too!
