Press Cafe provides the perfect setting to immerse yourself in a good book! Being situated adjacent to Fully Booked makes it more convenient when you can't wait to peruse your recent purchase. The interior is chic, well-lit, and designed with books in mind; thus the stacked books counter and several books mounted on the walls. Went on a Monday so it wasn't packed. Chill place. You can have your coffee and desserts while reading books which you can just grab and borrow from their book stands. Coffee and cakes were too sweet for me, but still enjoyable. No socket and I think no wi-fi as well but the mall has, so if you plan to stay longer with your not fully charged laptop, this may not be the place for you.

Set A (P999 for 3 4 persons) 1 Arroz Valenciana 1 Home Style Fried Chicken Press Iced Tea Set B (P1499 for 3 4 persons) 1 Arroz Valenciana 1 Home Style Fried Chicken 1 Lechon Belly Press Iced Tea The Arroz Valenciana looks festive and tastes equally festive too! It's a dish filled with chorizo, shrimp, bell peppers, eggs and spices. It's a filling replacement to plain old rice, and adds color to your holiday feast. The Home Style Fried Chicken is my favorite! These are deep fried buttermilk chicken pieces that are surely appetizing. I think I had seconds of this chicken alone! Gravy was on point too! The Lechon Belly was tasty, however the piece I got had skin that was a but tough instead of crispy. Of course, try their new improved favorites off their regular menu: Mushroom Soup Good old favorite. Thick and comforting, and even has actual shiitake mushroom bits and Italian sausage pieces. Caesar Salad Fresh Romaine lettuce, topped with chicken and bacon bits, dressed with parmesan cheese and traditional Caesar salad dressing Aglio Olio Pasta and Carbonara Pasta Both pastas were al dente, but the obvious winner was the Carbonara pasta because it was creamy and had lots of bacon. The Aglio Olio pasta was light and could use a few more garlic. Finish your meal with a definite sweet ending with their new Holiday Pastries! Can't believe Press have delectable desserts! They have the 4 Seasons Cheesecake that is Original, Caramelized Banana, Queso De Bola, and Hazelnut all in one luscious cake; Chocolate Moist Cake, and Ube Custard Cake. My Top 3 are Queso de Bola Cheesecake, Hazelnut Cheesecake, and Chocolate Moist Cake. Meanwhile, the Cookie Sampler (Chocolate Chip, Cranberry Raisins, Double Chocolate, and Double Mint Chocolate Chip in one tub is also a delight! Loved the original choco chip and cranberry with raisins. I'm not into mint flavored cookies, that's why the mint choco chip cookie tasted funny to me. And the Bar Sampler (Food for the gods and Butterscotch in one tub , I really liked the Butterscotch bars it tasted a lot like what I had in another famous int bakery! They also launched their Holiday Sets (good for 3 4pax that're inspired by the staple menu items found on a Filipino noche buena and these are: the Set A which consists of their Arroz Valenciana, Homestyle Fried Chicken, and Press Iced Tea, while the The Set B has the same set and has an additional Lechon Belly. The Lechon Belly is tender on the inside, and cripsy on the outside. The fried chicken tasted okay, though the Arroz Valenciana is too sticky for me (or maybe I just like paella that has a different texture . While we also tried their improved appetizers and mains: Mushroom Soup, Aglio Olio, Carbonara, and Caesar Salad. The mushroom soup was a great appetizer to start off with. While for the pastas, although I'm a fan of Aglio Olio but today, I'm on the Carbonara side (because it's creamy and has bacon bits. And as a way of giving back to their loyal customers, they have a 9 Weeks of Christmas Promo! Each week having different perks (i.e. Nov 11 17, Free Americano for every order of available cakes; Nov 18 24, 10% off on all total orders ; and more to come on the upcoming weeks!

Taste their improved menu: MUSHROOM SOUP 5/5 I love that there's real mushroom, literally fresh from the blender mushroom soup! CEASAR SALAD 4/5 crisp and refreshing. AGLIO OLIO 4/5 taste just right. CARBONARA 4/5 creamy and tasty. You'll surely love the following dishes included in their HOLIDAY SETS: ARROZ VALENCIANA 5/5 I like that it has a lot of toppings and is so flavorful! HOME STYLE FRIEF CHICKEN 4/5 I liked how it was cooked, simple but tasty. LECHON BELLY 3/5 I like the sauce with the meat, but I hope the skin would be improved. PRESS ICED TEA 4/5 refreshing! And of course holiday will not be complete with their HOLIDAY PASTRIES: UBE CUSTARD 4/5 I love the leche flan on top, but it over empower the ube cake. CHOCOLATE CAKE 5/5 that moist cake is just so awesome. FOUR SEASONS CHEESECAKE ORIGINAL 4/5 the usual cheesecake. CARAMELIZED BANANA 3/5 I find that the banana flavor is so empowering. QUESO DE BOLA 5/5 the cheesy cheesecake. HAZELNUT 3/5 I find it too sweet and I think more hazelnut flavor and nuts should be added. Plus desserts that you can take home: BAR SAMPLER FOOD FOR THE GODS 4/5 good but too sweet for me. BUTTERSCOTCH 4/5 great for those with sweet tooth. I’ve always loved Press even back when it was still Press Cafe, I believe they call it Press by Fully Booked now. My family and I like coming here because it’s a chill place, the food is affordable esp when compared to most of the establishments in Power Plant Mall and good plus the restaurant is modern yet still relaxed, clean, comfortable and spacious. And oh the service is great too. My old favorites are the Cheesy Eggplant with minced meat and so good with rice and cheap too! , Pork Chops, Pesto Pasta and OMM or Onion Mushroom Mozzarella dip these ones I can’t find in the menu anymore , Pumpkin Soup and Press Iced Tea. There are many others but those are our go-to’s. P.S. Their quarter Roast Chicken with rice comes with Pumpkin Soup and Press Iced Tea too, FYI, not a bad deal at all. Moving on, I was lucky to be able to attend the launch of their 2019 Holiday sets and pastries available everyday starting last Nov. 8 but it’s always still best to call ahead just to make sure everything you plan to order is in stock which is what I’d like to share as well in my review. Christmas dinners and holiday shopping for gifts have started and Press by Fully Booked has got you covered with these new Holiday items available now for a limited time only. Plus 9 weeks yes 9! of Press Holiday Promos! Read on... in my photo attachment is the Holiday Set B ₱1499 serves 3-4 pax includes Arroz Valenciana, Lechon Belly, Buttermilk Fried Chicken and 4 glasses of Press Houseblend Iced Tea. The Arroz Valenciana is made traditionally with glutinous malagkit rice so it is sticky unlike a paella, packed with lots of protein and vegetables and is very filling. The Lechon Belly, as always is delicious but eat right away while skin is crisp. The deep fried buttermilk chicken, surprisngly, was so tasty I didn’t actually need much of the gravy/sauce. There is also a Set A for ₱999 which is similar to Set B except minus the Lechon Belly. I believe a glass of Press Iced Tea, a houseblend which I love, is priced at ₱100 and each set comes with 4 so it’s a pretty good deal IMHO. We also tried some new and improved Press classics such as the mushroom soup, carbonara, aglio olio and caesar salad. Enjoyed both pastas but what stood out for me was the Mushroom Soup that really looked nothing like those canned cream of mushroom ones LOL and even better, the chef added Italian sausage along with shitake mushroom bits and croutons. My picture shows a sample serving only, the actual size served in the restaurant is larger and a steal at only ₱160. Here are the Holiday whole cakes and pastries that are perfect for gift giving, to bring in a potluck or to serve and enjoy with your family and friends this Christmas Season: 4 Seasons Cheescake ₱1350 , 4 flavors in 1: Queso De Bola, Hazelnut garnished with chocolate, Caramelized Banana topped with honeycomb, Original with whipped cream fresh strawberries. This is is my favorite of all because look at the photo , it’s not just delicious, it’s soooo pretty and a labor of love as the cake with different flavors is baked as whole and needs more than 1 person to make it in order to make sure the graham “walls” or dividers stay in place while the other one pours the cheesecake base. I’m definitely ordering this one! The Queso De Bola was divine, every variant was but this is my fave. I could eat a whole pack of those honeycomb toppings semi-dipped in chocolate too, please sell them hehe. Guests or recipients will surely enjoy this beautiful cake. I really love the idea of having 4 flavors in 1! Chocolate Cake ₱1250 , super moist with chocoate ganache salted caramel layers topped with cashew crumble. Probably my seond favorite of the 5 new Holiday items because it’s a “classic” chocolate cake with a twist, it’s so moist and chocolatey plus I love salted caramel so this is definitely one of the best I’ve had.
