Very nice place, beautiful view, and good service!!! A local foarte agreabil , a peisaj magnific , if o ambianta extraordinara !!!
We came to Le Queenie on the last day of our stay in Nice. Now I know it was the big mistake that ruined this evening. We chose this restaurant because of the broadcast of the evening match. During the day we came to ask if it was possible to reserve a table to have a seat unfortunately not. Got it, so we came in early enough to be seated. We received the menu (with drinks only) and for the next 30 minutes no one even approached us. When my fiance asked for the wi fi password the waitress replied that he would give it later as she has a lot of work to do. The fact that the restaurant was full but the service was not nice. After some time, we received the password. I had to leave the restaurant for a while when my fiance received the menu. He saw what the situation was like, so he ordered pasta right away so as not to wait another 30 minutes for service. When I got back to the restaurant I got the menu but of course no one approached me. When I got up to ask another waiter if I could order, he on the run said the kitchen was closed and left. My fiance got his dish (carbonara which was completely tasteless) but I couldn't order anything. The staff brought me the menu but didn't say they are closing the kitchen now. When I approached the waitress who served us, I heard: Can't you see that I'm running because I have a lot of work? Bottom line: awful evening, very rude service, no information, no interest on customer, tasteless food. We left after the first half of the game.
Is there a reason why Queenie is semi-empty while the other restaurants are very busy and there is no lobe table? There are reasons...
We had a late dinner at this place and were informed in advance that the restaurant closes at 22:30, but anyway everyone waited for us to finish till 23:00 (we were the last table, me and my boyfriend) The waitress was very kind. She was advising on the menu for wines and helped us to make a good choice for price/quality. I can read below a review saying that champaign prices start from 110€, but what I could see on the menu was 75€ per bottle and higher. Also you shouldn’t wonder that a restaurant closes at a particular time it’s typical for all Europe and better to find out in advance the opening times to plan your evening.
