Good basic breakfast. I had the eggs a ham, and then we shared the french toast w nectarine. Nothing super fancy but did the iob!
22€ for brunch buffet on a saturday was perfect.Included was one cold drink, one hot drink, one warm dish(egg, sausage n salad), crêpes and buffet with lots of bread, sweets and fruits. Book 1st
Tourist place. The food isn't fresh, even the cake wasn't homemade (it's from a supermarket). It's cheaper to do your groceries than go there to eat. On the other hand, the staff is really nice.
We went along the Le Promenade d'Anglais and decided to stop brunch in Le Bistroy. At first glance, the place looks to be a regular cafe, but don't think twice about keeping! You will not be disappointed! There are some tables in the restaurant, but luckily it wasn't busy! I ordered the eggs and French toast (which came at 7.50€). The scrambled egg came with salad and bread. The best eggs I've ever had! I don't know what these ladies put in the balls, but they were absolutely great. Probably not a French way to eat eggs, but I dipped my roasted bread into my eggs and they were magical. The French toast was also absolutely amazing! The whipped cream they used just melts into the toasts! There are only two women. So beware of slower service.
Fantastic breakfast place! At first I was disappointed that the brunch menu is served only on Saturdays and we could only order the limited breakfast menu, but we have the only 2 cooked Entree Ish dishes and they were amazing! Random note. You have quirky bathroom decor. There was a chalkboard you could write to, decals on toilet, etc. THE WAIT: We came for an early breakfast at an early Tuesday morning ~8am) and were the only two customers there. When we were gone, another couple was there. THE SERVICE: Great! The one server/hole spoke English, and there were English menus, but it did not feel touristy. THE COST: Only 17.20 Euro for breakfast for two. THE FOOD: Latte 4 stars Very thick foam layer, good texture overall. Cappuccino 4 stars Less dense foam layer, with cocoa powder above. Not as sweet as other cappuccinos we had in France. French Toast 4.5 stars Amazing, I don't know how they get the French toast to be so soft and soggy. Stirred egg with smoked trout 4.5 stars Beautiful silky soft eggs, goes great with trout on the roasted bread. Salad has a nice sharp dressage with strong cheese flakes.
