This was one of the best meals of our trip to France. We arrived before dinner service started at 7:00. No problem, we were seated promptly and ordered 3 kirs until the kitchen was ready. Our server, Sandra, was a delight. Very friendly, spoke English...to help us with the menu, was knowledgeable about all the choices, a perfect employee. Why do I say that? Because I was in the restaurant business for 40 years and I know a good server when I encounter one. For starters we ordered a bruschetta with beef, and a cheese fondue with bread, potatoes, sausage, etc. to share. Soooo good. Every bite was delicious. Next was some smooth Chablis to go with the Gnocchi in a tasty creamy truffle sauce, served in a Parmesan Tuile basket. Wow! This was a dish dreams are made of. The Gnocchi was large, tender, and the sauce outstanding. Then breaking off the tuile and dipping it in the sauce, sublime! Of course, after such a fantastic meal, we knew dessert would be in order. A creme brûlée, a pistachio creme brûlée, and a strawberry torte. Yummm! Again, I must say that this was one of our best meals in France. A wonderful way to close our trip as it was the last night before flying home. Our only regret was that all of our phones were at the hotel so no photos of this outstanding food presentation. Bravo, Gioia!
