Love it! This place uses high quality New Zealand produce cooked simply and executed very well to let the ingredients itself shine, leaving a clean taste. Flavours are subtle but not bland, not overly salty or overpowering.. you can tell the chefs pay respect to the food. So yummy!! What Rico Halvorson doesn't like about The Bach Eatery:
I adore almost everything about this restaurant. First of all, the people are so warm and hospitable, secondly the food is delicious and servings are generous, thirdly i love the rustic kiwiana decor. And yes I confess I am NZ born and bred so part of the charm is definitely that this restaurant feels like a fine slice of home. Having said that the kipfler potatoes, paua prawn arancini and slow cooked lamb shoulder a... View all feedback.
Very trendy and relaxed atmosphere. The staff are very nice. A small menu, but the food is delicious. I ordered the slow-boiled lamb shoulder, which with a honey-fig. 1 came. Delicious. My friend has the salmon on crackers and the mushroom ragu, both delicious. The only criticism I would have is that the prices for the small share variables are set up. We paid $ 94 for 2 and this was without drinks or dessert.
Food here was pretty good, but the portion sizes were a bit small. Grief The price was also a bit expensive for what it was, but it was good, the service was good and the decor was sweet. Grief Located on King St. This place is not hard to find. Grief Would recommend that you get a foretaste of what food in New Zealand likes.

Small menu but very well considered as I wanted to try everything on there! Serving sizes are quite generous for their very reasonable price point. Service is attentive, friendly and just right. A great place for date night or a small group of friends (place is pretty small so anything more than 2 will be communal dining). Wed & Sun allows for BYO I think. Highly recommend and will definitely return!
Really good food and excellent service. A beautiful night with friends. Come again! Provides good for vegetarian and meat lovers. The slowly cooked brisket with eggplants was particularly sensational.
Great place on the busy King St - on the date nights it was here, and with a larger group, food and service is always great! It recommends "Trust of the Banquet Menus" of the Chef - Large price-performance ratio and you will try all favorite dishes. Grief Own and serves from a kiwi couple - always nice to support the smaller stains in Newtown!
