What namronette doesn't like about Thai Riffic:
We ordered a prawn and vegetable stir fry for takeout. The dish mainly consisted of onions and mushrooms and was overly seasoned with garlic from a jar, giving it a sweet flavor. It was the most disappointing takeaway meal we've ever had. It was a disgraceful experience. View all feedback. What jesseejj likes about Thai Riffic:
Great place to have quality Thai. There are Soo many thai restaurants in Sydney and in especially in Newtown. Yet we keep coming back here. Always wonderfully tasty food and friendly service. Relaxed atmosphere which is a bonus as some of of the others nearby are quite loud and and there's sense of being rushed. View all feedback.

read moreA comprehensive review of Thai Riffic in Newtown reveals a mixed bag of experiences. Some diners found the dishes to be disappointing, with complaints ranging from chewy octopus skewers to oversalted food and unimpressive pork belly. Others, however, praised the restaurant for its delicious vegetarian options, flavorful curries, and excellent cocktails. The restaurant's move to a new venue on King St. brought with it a vibrant ambiance reminiscent of Bangkok street food stalls. While service was a point of contention for some, with reports of rude waitresses and long wait times, others appreciated the attentive and friendly staff. Overall, Thai Riffic offers a diverse menu, reasonable prices, and a welcoming atmosphere, making it a popular choice for Thai cuisine in the Newtown area.
