Not a flash place and very basic. The food however is always delicious you will enjoy the standard Indian dishes offered and very well done, we do enjoy this place very much with the yumy butter or mango chicken. The staff and owner alway do make welcoming.Little details and attention provided each time. View all feedback.
What Nels Cronin doesn't like about Tandoori Express:
We often get takeaway from tandoori express. The butter chicken, paneer and vegetable korma. I think the food is pretty standard takeaway indian food, its tasty, arrives hot and i honestly dont really have a lot of complaints. The butter chicken is definitely sweetened for western palate. But the chicken is tender and food is tasty. I dont think it's quite as authentic as some of the other indian restaurants i have bee... View all feedback.
Excellent, attentive service! Brilliant food! Great atmosphere! BYO! What more could you ask for?
Tandoori Express. This place likes to look at itself as a fine dining establishment as well as a takeaway. It's far from fine dining. There's white table cloths, candles and dim lighting but the brightly lit baine marie filled with bubbling curries sits like a massive illuminated bus taking up half of the room. The tandoori chicken is good enough comes out on a sizzling hot plate the lamb saag is very very good.
Finally got a chance to try this lovely restaurant. Over all the food was quite good. Service was good too! My favorite dish was the combination entrees! Lamb was absolutely delicious. Grilled chicken was amazing too. Prawns were nice too. Camel curry was a bit dry and too chewy
The most amazing Indian food and 10/10 service! We had the samosas, lamb kebab, butter chicken, lamb bhuna, accompanied by garlic naan and saffron rice and honestly everything was sensational. So packed full of flavour and also very good portion sizes not too big but not too small! We weren’t going to have dessert but then everything else was so good we had to try the desserts too. We got the gulab jamun and the coconut and jaggery kulfi both were amazing and the perfect way to finish the meal. Everything was cooked to perfection. The staff were also very friendly and helpful when it came to ordering, and also kindly took photos of us for Valentine’s Day! Overall, could not recommend highly enough we will definitely be back.
Curry houses are often average, but that pleads the depth of ABS. Had a terrible chicken Korma, sweet sweet. I could not really eat everything. The beef vindaloo was dry and tasteless with just a touch of specialty. The saffron rice, which is not even the slightest taste of saffron, was dry and brilliant. Not impressed.
