Kai On King - Newtown

The sushi here is super fresh, and yummy. The open sushi kitchen ensures you can see the chefs prepare your sushi. They also have a menu in addition to the sushi train which have additional vegetarian options. The staff are friendly and helpful. Tbe restaurant is relatively quiet for a Newtown restaurant which is a bonus.

Just can't get enough of this restaurant and their sushis. Aside from the fact that their price is reasonable it is also fresh and the staffs are very friendly. I think my all time favorite is the seaweed salad. The taste of their sushi and other dishes are always consistent. Texture of the food is always nice and interesting. Their lunch special is you consume 4 different plate is sushi and the fourth and cheapest sushi is free. Sushi price depends on the color of the plate. Prices are displayed for on the table.

Popped in when passing through on a purposeful visit to Newtown and found the sushi uninspiring. Tried a raw salmon and diced mango sushi but found it surprisingly bland. Tried another forgettable sushi. Wish that I'd tasted the soft crab sushi as other reviews said it is good and it appealed but after the other two sushi decided against it.Will try the a la carte menu next time.Restaurant clean, attractive and friendly.

Had lunch here for the second time in 2 weeks, was not disappointed. Great range of sushi rolls, salads, sashimi and special dishes available by order.Sushi was fresh and good flavoured. This place is well located and popular, as it is great value and its range goes a bit beyond your typical sushi train fare. Highly recommended for a quick lunch on the run.

Been going here for 7 years both before having kids and after! Kids love it they are always made welcome a quick healthy option.
