Disaster. People who sat down 20 minutes after us got their food and were done and our food never arrived. We walked out. Been going there 15 years and live in Crystal Cove. Luckily another restaurant nearby heard what happened and served us immediately. We won't be back. Take them off Open Table. View all feedback.
We regularly visit Scottsdale and our favorite Italian restaurant in Newport is Modo Mio. The location is great and we love to sit outside under a heat lamp. It couldn't be more perfect. The food is so delicious and the staff wonderful. My men go to the Chicken Parm and it didn't disappoint. It is a huge part and each nite is delectable. I love the seafood pasta, but this time I left with the Tagliatelle Bolognese. Your Bolognese is the absolute best. It is fresh and fleshy without much noise. Some places add too much, but not Modo Mio? they keep it to its pure essence. We love the Cesar Salad and the free mushrooms that are perfectly seasoned with lemon and olive oil. We cannot forget to mention the great Gelato. Marisa, the host, is always gracious and brings us a wonderful table and takes care of us. Brett and his family do such a fantastic work make a great product, offer great service and offer a total fantastic experience. You're great! Nicole was our server and she did a great job. We can't wait to go back!
The food is good red sauce Italian, nothing excessively creative, but good solid Italian pastas and net. The service is great at the busy place, friendly and efficient.
Just had the best Italian meal in SOCAL! The owner who brought food to the tables was brilliant, speaks volume as each guest treated. We were happy to let Alondra serve us, and we have never been served and waited. Edwin kept our waterglasses filled and the freshly baked bread and...now the good part... Food was the BESTEVER! Sa beside regular males that made the whole experience unparalled! We will say EVERYONE, we know... go to Mondo Mio! OBTW...We have run 3 culinary schools!
Pretty decent Italian restaurant, we order 7 entree, 3 appetizers and 5 desserts for only $300 with tips. Food is very good and toward traditional Italian style, which is what I like. They are very busy restaurant, especially for outdoor seating, so if you in the rush this might not be you choice.
