While some visitors have expressed disappointment with the parking fees and lack of vegan breakfast options, the overall consensus is overwhelmingly positive. The historic charm, friendly staff, and fantastic atmosphere make it a must-visit destination for anyone in the OC beach area. Despite some issues with reservations and COVID safety measures, diners are willing to overlook these minor inconveniences for the overall amazing experience. For a delicious meal with a stunning view, the Beachcomber is a top choice.
I love dining at the Beachcomber. The setting is unbeatable and the food is divine. Loved the miso glazed butterfish. BUT. They used to provide parking validation. Not only did we have to pay $15 for parking but we also had to pay $2 per person for the shuttle back to the lot. As a local, I will not be wasting money on parking and shuttles again.
We absolutely enjoyed our meal, starting from the appetizers to dessert. Our server, Shea, was phenomenal. She was professional, well-informed, and very friendly.
Only negative is that over the last five years, the cost to park In State of California Parks lot) has gone from complimentary to $10 to $15 $20 on weekends)
The brioche blueberry french toast was next level delicious! We were seated and served our food very quickly and you can't beat the setting. Such a fun memory! I would definitely recommend the Beachcomber Cafe to a friend!
We love the Beachcomber. We always sit outside to be close to the ocean and to watch the sunset. Our waitress Shea, was so warm and attentive and knowledgeable. The food was cooked superbly and did not disappoint. Remember to make your reservations 30 days before you want to come, that’s the soonest they open up. Don’t miss this, it’s fabulous.
