Guests appreciate the lovely atmosphere, friendly staff, and reasonably priced menu, although some have noted service inconsistencies, particularly during busy times. While many hailed the food as delicious, with standout items like the Piccante pizza, others encountered issues such as rushed service and mix-ups with orders. Overall, La Barrique is praised for its inviting ambiance and tasty offerings, making it a solid choice for both casual outings and business dinners, even if service can occasionally falter.
Shame you guys aren't open, was really looking forward to taking advantage of the new delivery system but just found out your on total lockdown for a while. Really missing me Barossa with a bottle of Sauvingnon. See you soon
This is still our favourite wine bar in London, we are what I’d call frequent infrequent visitors living as we do in Kent but we visit whenever we get a chance. Last visit was just before the lockdown in March....when our concert was cancelled at the O2, we consoled ourselves with a visit to La Barrique, pizzas were excellent, wine good and friendly staff what more do you need.
I had dinner last night with some of my work colleagues and the service was excellent. We were served by Nathalia and Inesa which were both very friendly and professional. We had a lovely conversation with both and while ordering we went with Nathalia’s recommendations. All of our food arrived together and quickly, the pizzas were excellent and the dessert (tiramisu) was huge, one was enough for everyone to share however, I do not share my dessert. I will definitely be back. You must try the Vitrum Blend (red wine) which was a perfect recommendation by our server.
Solo business dinner Rushed greeting at 7.15pm. Rushed order taking 7.18pm, hadn't digested the menu. Waited 7.30'placed the order Dough Balls, hot and tasty Mushroom Ham pizza, fresh though a bit lonely and tiniest and thinnest mushrooms I ever had Whilst I was there the waitress was turning away guests? I never saw the Chef Kitchen was starting to stack up pots so can imagine there was some problem going on. Guests near me received the wrong order, it was found on a neighbouring table, retrieved and presented to its correct owner. Highly improper to switch food around this way. Will not be back despite my food being good, the service was not, and for this I was asked to pay a service charge. Middle of the road place
Quite dark and classical is a generous first impression, we were quickly greeted by a bustling waitress who was enthusiastic and keen to get us seated This was a return visit 2 years previous a similar visit saw myself and companion disembarking from EXcel for lunch Our previous visit disappointed, this time the offerings (Pizza instead of lasagne) were as convivial as pizza and tomato salad could be, our previous experience of the red wine, expensive lacking in character, did not engender us to try another, Pilsner lager was just fine and dandy Not the cheapest but a better bet than some of the other eateries available to visitors at this event An interesting small chain restaurant that seems to be looking for an identity Not up to Zizzis but better than your average Pizza express, but then thats not difficult, improving indeed but not quite there yet!
