My husband and I have been loyal patrons of The Library at County Hall for quite some time, but our recent visit after the Covid Lockdown was our first. We were concerned that the venue may have been affected by the industry-wide shortage of staff, and that the quality of the afternoon tea may have suffered as a result. However, our fears were unfounded as the experience lived up to our expectations. We had a wonderful afternoon celebrating our wedding anniversary. We opted for the Bottomless Bubbles option, which was delicious and plentiful. The sandwiches were tasty, and I was pleased to see they still offered my favorite cheese scones with whipped truffle butter. The London landmark themed cakes on the menu were a nice touch. The chocolate ganache cake shaped like Big Ben was decadent, and the Strawberry Panacotte shaped like a bell was delightful. The staff at The Library truly stood out. We were warmly welcomed and seated at a table with a view of the Thames and the Houses of Parliament. Our server Karen was friendly, professional, and attentive throughout our meal. We highly recommend The Library for its exceptional service and high standards. It is definitely one of the top spots for afternoon tea in London.

This spot is tricky to find the entrance. Marriot hotel... Parliament inspired cakes are very sweet and smooth. The motiff of Elizabeth tower, The clock face, and Big Ben was great.

During our UK vacation, we decided to have afternoon tea at this restaurant to celebrate the New Year. We booked a table between visiting the London Eye and attending an evening theater show. The food was amazing! We were served a variety of sandwiches, rolls, scones, and desserts. The Elizabeth Tower After Eight cake was especially delicious. The brandy butter was exceptional and unlike anything I've ever tasted. We couldn't finish everything, so we were able to take our leftover treats back to the hotel. The atmosphere was relaxing and lovely, and the staff were attentive and friendly. I highly recommend this place!
