Feedback
Wahaca offers a mixed dining experience, with some customers enjoying the food and service, while others were left disappointed. The food received mixed reviews, with some praising the taste and speed of service, while others complained about portion sizes and quality. Some customers were put off by the high prices and slow service, while others appreciated the hospitality and attentiveness of the staff. Overall, the restaurant seems to offer a varied experience, with some patrons considering returning and others vowing never to come back.
We have previously enjoyed eating here and last night thought we would treat ourselves. The food was good but our waiter was surly. We are not demanding people and ordered a set menu and a couple of drinks each but it really felt like he had better things to do. At the end of the meal we decided to pay via the QR code on the table. A ‘discretionary’ tip had been automatically added to our bill. In the circumstances we would have preferred not to pay this but it seems the only way to avoid it would have been to confront the waiter himself. It’s not cheap eating out these days so you do expect friendly service to make it special. I know service staff work hard in sometimes challenging situations. However this experience left a bad taste in the mouth and has put us off visiting Wahaca again.
If you have to go to Stratford then be sure to visit Wahaca. The food is surprisingly good for a chain but, more amazingly, the service is wonderful our waiter, Mugurel, was an absolute delight, as was the maitre d’ who welcomed us!
Came here before going to Abba Voyage. Food and drink was first class. We had the set menu which was plenty for 2 people.
Our waiter Paollo was very engaging, funny and attentive to our needs. The food was amazing and the drinks are very well done. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £20–30
