read moreHong Huo Huo in Newcastle's Chinatown offers a mix of familiar and unique Chinese dishes. The Da Pan Ji was flavorful, although the chicken had bone fragments. The pig's intestines were surprisingly good. The interior is authentic with excellent artwork. The sautéed sliced pork and Kung Pao chicken were highlights. Prices are reasonable, and the restaurant comes recommended, even by guests from Hong Kong and Macau. Despite some service issues reported by others, this restaurant stands out for its food quality and atmosphere. It's a must-try for those seeking a genuine Chinese dining experience in Newcastle.
