Description
At a local KFC branch, customer experiences vary widely, revealing significant operational issues. Many patrons express frustration over inconsistent service, incorrect orders, and unexpected menu limitations, particularly regarding fried chicken availability. Complaints frequently mention long wait times and the lack of responsive customer support. Moreover, a troubling incident involving a gift card highlights concerns about potential theft and poor management communication. While some diners appreciate the swift service and hot food, the overall sentiments lean toward disappointment, underlined by stale offerings and inadequate resolution of concerns. This restaurant seems to struggle in meeting customer expectations consistently.

Quick, ordered was right. The chicken was hot even though it tasted a bit dry (too long sitting under the lights?
I hope you don't plan on ordering fried chicken after 10:45pm at this restaurant, as they apparently stop serving it until they close at midnight. This detail should be mentioned in their description. I only found out about this when a delivery driver arrived at the restaurant and was told that they didn't have any chicken. They could have just cancelled the order, but instead they chose to waste our time.
If I could leave 0 stars I would. They’re never open on time. The ice machine isn’t working so you get a hot drink not only was mine hot but it was flat. The oven doesn’t work so no biscuit, ordered a side of mashed potatoes and gravy and they forgot the gravy. Just don’t go there
Theft at Newcastle KFC We purchased a $50 gift card on 12/18 at 3:01pm at the drive through window. At the time, we joyfully discussed the way it would be used as a Christmas present for our 21 year old son with the employees at the drive through, (an older woman, younger male and transgender person Then left. We had actually thought about writing about their fantastic customer service on social media pages as we know that this perticular store has struggled with their reputation for quite some time. On the 26th, our son called to say that he tried to use his card and was told there was no money on it. I can only imagine his embarrassment! We then called corporate to figure out what happened. They told us I to call the gift card department. So we did. When we gave the woman at the gift card department all of the information she told me that the money was put on at 3:01 and Merchant Void at 3:05. I asked if they stole my money and she said yes they did Through the rest of the conversation she indicated at least 2 more times that the restaurant stole from me. There was no maybe or other possible explanation given, only confirmation that the store stole from me. We called corporate back and was told that they would escalate it to the area manager over that store. And someone would call me later. No call 2 days later my husband took 3 hours off of work, not to mention the few hours already spent getting the run around, so that he could go into the restaurant at 11:00am when they finally open. He knocked on the door for about 5 minutes before a transgender person came to the door and identified themselves as the manager. When he expressed why he was there, this person became defensive and indignant, raised her voice yelling"we didn't steal nothing from you and shut the door in his face ; then shortly returned with the phone number for the area manager Vicki Blair) He asked for her name and was given Katy. He called and left a message for Vicki Blair. When Vicki called him back and he relayed the events of the past week she informed him that this was the first she had heard about this and she does not have a manager named Katy anywhere in her region. He was told the he would get a response in a couple of hours as she had 4 emails she had to address first before she could look into my issue. Which here we are the next day with no phone call or resolution for a gift that was given 2 weeks ago. This was a Christmas gift for our son, I’m not sure if $50 is no big deal to the employees of this company but it is a lot of money to a struggling 21-year-old trying to make it on his own. Plus they stole the joy of a Christmas gift for both my son and I (I put a lot of thought into how this gift would be presented I should have known better than to go to the particular KFC with the reputation it has for poor service and lousy soggy food. But I thought they couldn’t screw up a gift card. Since all of the Kentucky Fried Chicken employees seem to be passing the buck I am writing this to make sure that 1 this doesn't happen to anyone else. 2 that maybe this way we can get some resolution on a matter that we tried dealing with through the appropriate channels without success.
