The restaurant has a new name- Medallion I believe. We ate at the bar. The staff was lovely and attentive. I had the grilled tilapia and shrimp over mashed potatoes. My friend had the shrimp coctail and cheesy fries. All delicious. We asked to speak with the chef because we were trying to figure out some of the ingredients because it was THAT good. She came out. Convenient to grab dinner before show at NJPACIt is located right across the street from the venue.
Good-tasting food, but customer service and attention to detail leaves much to be desired.

The atmosphere, eating and service were top notch. this is a very well managed and beautiful restaurant and a hidden gem in the city newark. I had the pre-fixe pre-theater menu with a crab cake starter with fresh crumb meat and a beside salad, the garlic shrimp and dessert a Lemon orange mousse. everything was presented and served perfectly. the service was friendly, without being overwhelming, and both the hostess and the waiters were very patient with a witnessed theater crowd. it has all components, a beautiful restaurant with wonderful eating and great service.
Lunch. very well made! good food, nice atmosphere, cheap prices. quiet for talks either business or personal. I'll be back to dinner soon.
