I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. My last visit, which was for a networking event, was at least nine years ago, and I must say the atmosphere has remained outstanding since then! Everything still feels cheerful and vibrant, from the dining area to the staff and overall energy. I definitely plan to visit more often.
After several enjoyable brunches at Deerfield, we were disappointed with our most recent visit. We had a reservation for 1:00 PM and arrived 20 minutes early, yet we weren't seated until 1:20 PM. The staff responsible for seating seemed quite disorganized. Additionally, the food did not meet the standards we had come to expect from our previous experiences.
Jeff, our waiter, and the rest of the staff offered outstanding service! They made sure our needs were met promptly and went above and beyond. The food was tasty, but some dishes, like the pork tenderloin, were a bit dried out from sitting on the warming trays. Additionally, a few stations lacked enough serving utensils for each dish, which can be concerning for patrons with food allergies like myself. Overall, though, I was happy with how things turned out for my guest's special occasion.
Party of 5 for the Easter buffet held at Deerfield at 4pm. The variety of food was spectacular. Some of the items were gone and not yet replaced but still the selection was there. The food temps were okay too. The Wagyu sirloin was phenomenal, from the taste to the texture. The room was elegant and the service was great Patrick was our server that day. Would definitely go back.
I don’t think we’ll be back — we found Deerfield’s service much changed since the last time we came for what we expected to be a top-notch area Easter buffet. Besides being over-billed almost $100 and the laboriously long wait before it was fixed, over and over we had to request plates being cleared from our table over the course of our brunch. When we arrived and places were set for six and not for our seven (then being billed in the end for eighth… , we laughed it off. Service went downhill from there. For $80 per person plus a liquor tab, we hoped Deerfield might try harder.
