Burkindi - Newark
Burkindi
Description
Burkindi restaurant in Newark, New Jersey, presents a mixed bag of experiences. While some patrons rave about the generous portion sizes, deliciously prepared dishes like Jollof rice and Poissons with Attieke, and friendly staff, others express frustration due to declining food quality, rude service, and high extra charges for sauce. Despite its limitations, including a small menu and inconsistent customer service, many return for the authentic flavors and affordable prices. Overall, while there are concerns about the atmosphere and staff demeanor, the food remains a highlight that continues to attract a loyal following.

This restaurant is amazing. The portion sizes are generous, the food is excellently prepared, and the staff is very friendly. I highly recommend the Poissons with Attieke (Cassava), which was perfectly cooked and seasoned. The Poissons with Riz Gras (Jollof Rice) was also delicious, one of the best Jollof rice dishes I've had in this area.
This restaurant is absolutely fantastic! They nailed the flavors, everything tasted fresh and delicious. I had been craving Dibi and only knew of one place in New York where I could get it, but now I can enjoy it right near my home. I can't wait to try everything else on the menu.
The food at this restaurant is absolutely delicious, it makes me want to slap somebody. Thank you to the Burkindi crew, you guys are amazing. P.S. Thanks to this place, I now have a girlfriend.
Stay away from this place.First of all the place had a very bad smell, it was so bad that I had to wait for my food outside.I ordered the whole fried chicken, jollof rice and some other stuff. They gave me an old refried chicken, with some missing parts.Don't even bother asking for a refund, a replacement or a manager (she's the rudest person I've ever met). This was a complete waste of money, I threw the chicken in the garbage.
