It is a really bad experience service is so pure and slow no special in a menu please spend no time with this restaurant our table was dirty whole process of lunch they have not taken dirty teller I have not taken enough photo, but just believe me
Lunch in the bar room of modern. eating was good, but nothing spectacular, unfortunately (which was only meh and disappointing) service was kind of sloppy for a restaurant this caliber and review (has to ask for steak knife for lamb bowl, etc. Perhaps the experience is better in the main dining area, but I'm glad I didn't choose the tasting menu because I wasn't impressed at all with the lunch?
There are two main dishes: a 5-course tasting menu in modern or an a-la-carte in bar room in modern. we chose the tasting menu, with wine pairings. that was the best meal we had in new york! starting from the amuse bouche, each dish was balanced and had interesting aromas and textures. we enjoyed the hiramasa (fish) with baptism as well as the turbot, morels and spinat. Many of the dishes had a Japanese influence. we were very pleased to meet the chef justin who told us about the dishes and the restaurant. he also invited us for a tour through the kitchen. Many thanks to all staff, but above all our server fiona, who met all our needs.
I've been coming to modern for years and I have been having lunch, dinner and enjoying the casual bar room experience. I can say with the greatest confidence that this is my favorite restaurant in the world. They can taste and feel every detail during their experience, from the knocking of a perfectly dry aged duck, to the rich and deep taste of a chocolate cake. the personal is incredibly welcoming and next to the garden of the outside sculpture sits the perfect scene for a delicious meal. when they visit new york, and nothing against splurging, this is certainly worth a visit.
Excelent!! Good food,staffs,elegant. And great in general. Very profesionals. the wonderful treatment,the fabulous food,the beautiful and creative decoration??? 100% perfect.
