we had a wonderful time in scopa. we were shopping in ny for my high-time dress and went after scopa. my mother and I had the rigatoni with the aubergins, my brother had the tortellini, and my cousin had the Ahi-Tuna. everything was wonderful. the service was excellent. that was the icing on a wonderful day! What User doesn't like about Scopa:
This is our 4th time at Scopa in the last two months and the only disappointment. The waiter was desperately over run and unable to serve. He must've had 12 tables. We waited hours for food and drinks. And the filet mignon was tasteless and overdone. We didn't send it back because it hadn't gotten served until 9 and we had arrived at 7. Red wine served much too warm(hot)..Had to ask for it to be chilled.
The restaurant was very nice, with dim lights and a moderate noise level. The food was very good, but service was quite slow.
I went here for a birthday dinner and was very impressed with how well the space handles our party! There was 13 of us and we knew that could be challenging for any restaurant to handle but they did so with grace speed and professionalism! The food was amazing I have to believe between all of us we ordered half the menu and no one had anything but rave reviews about their dishes!
We had a wonderful time in Scopa. We were shopping in NY for my wedding dress and then went to Scopa. My mother and I had the Rigatoni with the Aubergines, my sister-in-law had the Tortellini, and my cousin had the Ahi Tuna. Everything was wonderful. The service was excellent.
