Plunge Bar - New York

This is a cool spot if you want to enjoy a panoramic view of the cityIt's located on the rooftop of the Gansevoort hotel.

This was my second visit to PlungeI checked it out for lunch with my boyfriend and it was a great quite bite with a wonderful view.

If you go to a rooftop, you expect to be wow'd in some wayUnfortunately for Plunge, you don't really get that.

My experience at this restaurant was terrible. I spoke to a woman the day before my reservation and informed her that someone under the age of coming with me and other people. She assured me it would be fine. However, on the day of our reservation, things took a turn for the worse. The staff asked if the person under-aged was with us and then informed us that we couldn't stay because of their age. I requested to speak to the manager, but they brought someone who didn't seem like a manager at all - his shirt was untucked and he was unprofessional. He claimed to have spoken to me before I made the reservation, but I had only spoken to the woman. His explanation made no sense and he kept insisting that everyone calls him a girl, which was confusing. Overall, I would not recommend this place to anyone. The drinks were overpriced and the atmosphere was empty.
