The menu features standout dishes like arancini, cavatelli with calamari, and boar ragu tagliatelle. Sicilian specialties like sarde alla griglia impress, while the cannoli falls short. Service is efficient and friendly, embodying true Italian hospitality. Although some dishes could have been improved, this authentic gem is worth a visit, especially for those craving genuine Sicilian cuisine. Unique dining options like tableside bucatini Pepe and homemade cannolis add to the charm of this establishment.
As soon as we set ourselves, we asked the waiter to keep the table. He begged us angry to hold the table for him while he would do it, but he took my girlfriend's hand, put him on the corner of the table to keep him stable, and pressed her hand to hold it there. Not only was it rude, but inappropriate and caused her pain. We just stood up and left inappropriate behavior for this place.
Great experience really enjoyed our time there amazing food and staff
We ate outside, it was quieter than inside. The waiter even switched off the volume of music for us. The food was wonderful and the staff attentive, but did not float. Some of us were on gluten-free diets; these were accommodated with delicious dishes. I'd definitely come back.
It was a very nice restaurant with delicious Italian dishes.
Piccolo Cucina is a step above many of the other Italian/Sicilian restaurants in the city. Food, ambience, service all outstanding. Must go to in Uptown NYC
