The food was good, perfect size portions (not huge but generous) great appetizer selection. Love the ambience pre war detail, working fireplace, simple elegance. We were disappointed by the service pleasant staff but took just too long to order drinks, then food, then to get Parmesan for pasta entrees and finally had to take the check, with our credit cards, to the maitre de to actually pay. What LauraW doesn't like about Margaux:
The service we experienced at this restaurant was absolutely awful. The waiter neglected to turn in one of our orders, causing one person in our party to be without their meal while the rest of us had already finished eating. Great Service, good food. Fairly limited menu, but accommodating with changes. The back restaurant was quiet and fairly empty, I like their benches. The front room was packed and happening, the bar in the middle is moody and dark . Choose your style:
A very good spot for business meetings. Food is very good. A quiet comfortable place.
We had a lovely time , the food was good, the outdoor space was comfortable(even though it rained)however the service was slow.

We had lunch here ahead of checking into our hotel at the same property. Staff were inattentive and distracted. Food was excellent and the space is gorgeous! We also had breakfast on the day we left, and I would describe the experience as exactly the same. I think there’s a lot of work to be done in the staffing here but it’s a wonderful spot and we will definitely be back to try again!
