Kimoto Rooftop - New York

We ordered several small plates, all of which were delicious. They offer happy hour specials that change depending on the day, making for some fun choices. I highly recommend making a reservation in advance; just walking in and hoping for a table isn't the best idea!

I made a reservation at Kimoto through OpenTable, but shortly after, they stopped using the platform and didn’t inform me. When I called to confirm my reservation just before arriving, they had no record of it, despite my confirmation number and my memory of making the reservation. Some of my guests were left standing and were briefly seated at a table, but a waitress, quite aggressively, told them they needed to stand up. I won’t be hosting any gatherings there again. On a positive note, the bottle service and food were excellent.

This was my first time at the restaurant, and it exceeded my expectations by a long shot! Honestly, they should update their website because the experience is a hundred times better than it appears online. I loved every aspect of it and can't wait to return with a group of friends. The view, drinks, and food were all fantastic—there wasn't a single thing I didn't enjoy. As a chef currently studying at a French culinary school, I can confidently say that everything about the food was spot-on!

Great place that may need more staff to cover a busy night. The food was delicious and came out pretty quickly. The drinks were tasty. I just wish I knew they did hookah before going. That should be included in all their ads so people know.
