This is kind of an old-fashioned neighborhood place and we just love it. The food and service are excellent. I have been for dinner and for Sunday brunch. When I say old-fashioned, I am not including the food which has many options that will please foodies. View all feedback.
What NYCDiner doesn't like about Café Luxembourg:
Loved the roast chicken, crispy with amazing green veggies on side. Also the mint chip with a nice sized pitcher of hot fudge sauce ensured the meal would not be too healthy. Everything was perfectly prepared. View all feedback.

Always a great evening after a Lincoln Center performance or a destination spot on its own. Food is a known quantity plus daily specials and pricing is good and a fun wine wist with specials of the month. A UWS institution!
Have eaten here many times over the years and am usually happy to do so. This time, the quality of the meat used for the steak frites was quite poor, which was surprising given past experiences. I hope this was just an anomaly. That said, the service was great.

We were at the opening of this restaurant years ago. Food is okay but the service was terrible last night. Very nice people but, probably too few. Long waits (30 minutes!! between courses…….not cheap
