What User doesn't like about Yogurtland New Orleans:
This used to be our favorite spot for a special treat, but our recent visits have been disappointing. The yogurt has been watery, and the machines were covered in melted yogurt. The floor was sticky, and there were usually two or three machines out of order. In the last visit was yogurt more liquid than usual and the toppings bar was a chaos. the service is okay.
Walking in, we were greeted and offered sample cups, but I have my go-to flavors, so I didn't even use them. Spaces were very clean, from the soft serve area to the toppings bar. They had a decent selection of flavors. I chose ube, coconut, and pistachio. This was my reason for the low rating: it didn't taste that great. Texture was fine, but I wasn't a fan of the way it tasted. Flavors were off and after a few bites, it all started to taste the same. At some point, it started to taste like soap. Five stars for staff and shop, one star for taste.
On my 1st visit the staff was really helpful in explaining the process of how to make my yogurt and let me tell you... there are sooooooooo many flavors of yogurts and and insane amount of toppings. Of course to be a great ice cream/yogurt shop, this is a necessity. My only suggestion when it comes to the topping station is that it should be a top priority of ensuring that the presentation is maintained at all times. The toppings should stay topped off/swapped out maintaining freshness quality and most importantly the line should stay wiped down. With so many people utilizing the utensils, they should be cleaned/ swapped out at a more frequent pace. However, one of the more descent frozen yogurt chains.
I came in this evening 5/24 and accidentally forgot my wallet in my car. I asked them nicely if they could please hold on to my cup of yogurt in the freezer for five minutes while I go out and get my card. When I came back the employees there were laughing saying I was broke and one of them came out as I was checking out and actively shoved her phone camera in my face and narrated a livestream or FaceTime ? . When I left they laughed loudly at me. Honestly mortifying, they just lost a regular customer because of incredibly rude service. If anyone from this establishment sees this, kindly take whatever video you took of me down. It was taken without my consent.
