What Trevor Fairchild doesn't like about Vegan Snack Shack:
Waiting 2+ hours for my food and still hasn't arrived. Their phone number is disconnected. The good reviews are fake, this place doesn't even exist. Scam company. Reporting to the city as well as to the food delivery companies to delist them. Do not waste your time or View all feedback.
To have somewhere to get fresh home cooked vegan food means the Earth and beyond to me. Those strawberry biscuits remind me of grandma’s, the baked Mac and cheese so cheesy, the BBQ sausage were so savory I had leftovers to reheat, where my food was even better the second day! The food is amazing so are the tonics! I had the butterfly tonic, so after my meal feeling even more relaxed set the tone! Check it out if you ever need a spot, it is 24hours!
I had such high hopes and lit up like a Christmas tree seeing this pop up as new restaurants on my DD app. Unfortunately after placing the order and waiting over an hour and a half, I had to cancel and get my refund even though I really wanted the experience. I had thoughts about going in person however the owner seems combative( based on read reviews). Food quality seems like something I wouldn't enjoy and the prices seems like my bank account would frown at me. The good reviews seem to be from those trying this life style or new to it.Those of us who have been on this clean journey for years may be people they should also listen to versus what seems like(based on reviews) make a buck. I do have best wishes to your business however seems like much growth is needed for the owner, staff food quality pricing before I can support.
That man didn’t have to show out like he did when he made my food. That man cooked me a meal like I gave him his first son. So much love in every bite when I tell you- this top 5. This definitely top 5 food spot in New Orleans hands down. He too out of pocket for the food I just ate ? Vegan Snack Shack do the mostest???
Visiting from out of town, and this one of the few vegan spots in the city that's open late. Being from out of town, we didn't know the setup at first and thought maybe they were closed, there's no shop sign out front that we saw and the doors and windows are blacked out, and the door is always locked. Know going in that this ain't a spot where you can come in and order and sit down, you order in advance and pickup from the small window at the front of the building. Homeboy that works there caught us as we were walking off since we thought it was closed and told us we could tell him what he wanted at the window and he'd start on it while he walked us through ordering and paying on their website. This for sure a small UNGENTRIFIED black owned business; if you expecting the traditional setup you gonna be disappointed there IS a wait and it was a little longer than what he told us, but bro was happy to take the time and answer questions about the menu, and even hooked us up with a side of cauli bites because he had to make a modification to one of our orders. Food was BUSSIN, the burger was so filling I was lowkey bummed I didn't have the room to finish all my onion rings.Know that you gonna be waiting, if you got somewhere important to be I wouldn't expect you gonna be able to pull up 20 min before and still be on time I seen reviews complaining about the neighborhood the place is in and how sketch it is, but we stood out there waiting and people do be walking by and hanging around but nobody was acting out of pocket or bothering us, I think people just be uncomfortable seeing poor black folks out in the open minding their own business. ? And we went late at night AND back during the day.Aside from the wait time, was some of the best vegan food I've had, and again homeboy working there was nothing but chill and helpful, and went the extra mile. Definitely already recommending this place to more folks hope y'all keep doing what you doing, always happy to see and support more homegrown black businesses, even if they don't look as fancy on the surface or follow the same model of your other favorite vegan joint. Thanks so much for the perfect last meal on our way out of the city ?My only suggestion is maybe communicate a little better and more accurately about the time it'll take to finish an order I ain't ever stressing about the wait itself because good things take time, but I'd rather know I'mma be waiting 50 min instead of being told it's 25 30 min and then asking to wait a little longer when it's already been past that. It is what it is tho, so I'mma still give y'all the stars because I'mma keep coming back to this place regardless.
First time Vegan in NOLA for a birthday.. Did NOT disappoint!
