I’m giving 4 stars because of the short opening hours. 7 hours a days seems to little for a neighborhood cafe. They would definitely make good money if they opened an hour earlier and stayed open until at least 6pm. This is a common issue with businesses in New Orleans. Seems like everyone wants bankers hours. Good coffee not that cheap. I recently moved back here from NYC and I would say maybe the coffee is ¢50 chea... View all feedback.

Unfortunately, like most hipster places like this, the staff are extremely rude to locals. Really stupid to treat your neighbors poorly. This place caters to tourists. Overpriced and hipster, Value 3 Stars. Service 1 Star. Attitudes are not necessary. Your food ain't that great!!! View all feedback.
Great little spot!! Their breakfast is delish (vegan tofu scramble is so tasty even for non-vegans) and specialty latte was tasty as well. Prices are reasonable especially for the amount of food and quality. And to top it off, the staff is super friendly and welcoming! Definitely a favorite.
Great breakfast burrito! Nice place, will come back!
This was my regular morning coffee and breakfast spot for a recent stay in the Bywater area. Friendly and accommodating, with a selection of big and small plates for all appetites. My go to was the chilli avocado toast and cortado, perfect for starting my days. Sometimes the chef would sing something delightful while going about his tasks, not indicative of his Celtic Frost T. Servers are friendly and helpful, with good memories, as my personal peculiar dietary requirements were remembered after day one. Thanks Satsuma!
A great little neighborhood coffee shop. Coffee was great! food was good. Fast free wifi. The service was fast and good. prices were a little high, but that's kind of the way everything is going these days. A wonderful place to pop in and start your morning.
I loved this place i loved it deeply … but then i found hair in my food with my teeth. cashier said he’d comp my meal and then immediately forgot. today i watched the men in the kitchen preparing meals without gloves on one cook goes from touching raw bacon to making a salad to clawing a handful of chips to grabbing bread for someone’s sandwich to grabbing more bacon. the entire time he keeps compulsively wiping his hands on his pants and apron. then unboxes something and goes back to prepping food…without a single handwash or glove…. the other guy literally just dug in his ear and kept right on cooking. it sickens me when food handlers have zero self awareness and don’t prioritize the safety of their patrons. maybe these guys have never heard of a little something called COVID 19!! i’ll remove this review when my buddies get some gloves and soap.
