What Nance ibarra I doesn't like about Palace Café:
The space on the 2nd floor was nice. Cocktail was weak. Moules Frites was disappointing-the mussels, although flavorful, were cooked to the size of raisins. Bananas Foster was very good. View all feedback. What Mark S likes about Palace Café:
The best meal I had all week. Gumbo was great. The sauce on the catfish was good to the last drop. And the bread pudding, well it was more of a religious experience than a dessert! View all feedback.

The food was very good as was the service. Beautiful view onto Canal Street.
Our waiter was awesome. He asked a few questions and basically ordered our food and drink for us. Everything was awesome.

read moreUpon visiting the Palace Cafe in New Orleans, the dining experience seemed to be a mixed bag for many patrons. While some were delighted with the flavorful dishes such as Cajun-infused specialties and Bananas Foster dessert, others were left disappointed by underwhelming meals and slow service. Some diners thoroughly enjoyed their visits, mentioning exceptional dishes like Shrimp Trefuncte, while others found their meals to be lackluster and not up to par. Despite some positive experiences, there were also instances of cold coffee, forgotten orders, and lack of attention from servers. Although some raved about the ambiance and special treatment for birthdays, there were also complaints about not being properly attended to by staff. Overall, opinions on the Palace Cafe seemed to be quite varied, with some patrons vowing to return for more, while others declared they would not be coming back.
